LTYG (Lincoln Temple Youth Group) is for Jewish teens in grades 9-12. The LTYG advisor and the Rabbi work together to plan monthly events that give our teens a safe and fun way to get together with their friends and to make new ones. In the process, they create memories that will last a lifetime. Past events include bowling, a cupcake decoration “war,” and movie nights.
LTYG is more than just a social outlet, though. We strive to engage our members in social action and to perform acts of Tikkun Olam around our Temple and in the community at large. The possibilities and the fun are endless.
Travel with LTYG
LTYG regularly gets together with Omaha’s OTYG for activities. As a member youth group of NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth), LTYG also provides its members with the opportunity to attend a NFTY chavurah (convention) and share great times with other Jewish teens. Most of these trips take place within NFTY’s Missouri Valley region, which includes Denver, Omaha, Kansas City, St. Louis, Des Moines, and parts of Illinois.
There are also opportunities to participate in national conventions or even to go to Israel. There is a whole Jewish world out there to discover with the help of LTYG!
